Burnout is a common syndrome resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It typically presents with 3 common symptoms including feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion, feeling increasingly negative or distant towards one's job, and feeling that one has a reduced ability to perform work tasks. In addition, individuals experiencing burnout often have difficulty doing non-work related tasks, interrupted sleep patterns, weight gain, poor appetite, bloating, and recurrent or chronic infections.

Recovering from burnout is much easier than we think. It's important to be on a holistic plan that addresses nutrition, lifestyle factors such as sleep and stress management, vitamin deficiencies, and herbal options to support the stress response. Patients with burnout often improve significantly within 6-12 weeks and are able to feel like themselves again.
