If you watched my video on heavy menstrual bleeding, you know it can commonly be caused by growth of extra tissue.
Either because women are not ovulating and so estrogen continues to stimulate the growth of the uterine lining (the same lining that sheds during menses) OR there is growth of tissue in the case of fibroids/polys/endometrial tissue.
In both of these cases, estrogen has dominated ➡️ extra tissue growth ➡️ heavier bleeding.
